Discover the wire rope slings of industrial use

First of all we will understand that what are wire rope slings and what are their requirements.

Wire rope slings- It is commonly used for lifting purpose when you need strength, durability and resistance to abrasion to handle loads. Wire rope consists of a number of small individual wires that are turned into strands, the strands are then twisted together to form solid rope. Wire ropes slings have long been the standard when it comes to overhead lifting and material handling. What are the major factors they offer-?

Strength
Flexibility
Ability to handle bending stress and many more

And if we talk about Lifting & Moving loads then wire rope slings plays significant role to handle bending stress as it is too flexible in nature. Areas where wire rope slings are most popular-

Construction Industries
Manufacturing Industries
Automotive Industries
Oil & gas etc

In these areas, variety of heavy loads and rugged conditions exist and they prefer to utilize wire rope slings because wire rope constructed of various grades of steel making it resistant to elements such as moisture, heat, UV, and such chemicals. Wire rope slings can be assembled in a variety of configurations and sizes for nearly any lifting applications. The twisted strands of heavy duty wires are extremely durable and they create high tensile strength, so we often prefer wire rope sling in these industries.

TYPES OF WIRE ROPE SLINGS-
1. Single leg wire rope sling-
Single leg wire rope slings is a versatile slings that features an eye loop swaged on both ends of the slings.
2.  Two leg wire rope slings-
Two leg wire rope slings are constructed of two wire rope legs that are attached with main ring. These slings can be fitted with a variety of hook ends.
3. Three Leg wire rope slings-
Three leg wire rope slings are constructed with wire rope legs that are attached with main ring. These slings are great for unbalanced loads.
