All about Chain Slings

Wire rope slings and Alloy steel chain slings  are one of the most common types of lifting slings used for lifting. They are used for lifting heavy items on work sites. When using a chain to build a sling the tolerance for chain is considered as its main building block of the sling.

When the group of fibers is twisted so as to make it a strand, a rope is made. The discovery of wire rope was done by a German named Wilhelm Albert in 1830’s; he was a mining engineer by profession.
